This certification means we meet the highest standards of social and environmental impact as a small, but very mighty business, and are dedicated to continuously finding ways to make a positive impact by using our business for good.

Commitment to Local Community: Our local community makes up 85-90% of our customer base, and we are working to create a space that is dedicated to supporting our local community and its citizens. We love our local community, and therefore strive to give back through our Designed to Give Program. Abadir’s also aims to support our local community through purchasing. We prioritize local purchasing when possible. As of 2022, 19% of our purchases were made within 50 miles of Greensboro with our long term goal of increasing that number as we scale.

Designed to Give Policy: Abadir’s is committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. One of the ways we do this is by supporting organizations that promote positive social impact and that align with our values. This is done through volunteering and pro bono services as well as in-kind and monetary donations.

Looking ahead: our future impact

As the business grows, so too does out impact. The more we make, the more we can provide for our community and our employees. And while we grow, we’ll continue making decisions based on lowering our environmental impact by using true Earth friendly products, never using harsh chemicals in our space, collecting rain water for our small farm and cottage gardens, reducing our energy costs, and more! We want to make sure we’re building a true purpose driven operation, and that means holding ourselves accountable with every decision we make.
